Sandwich: Grilled Salmon With Tarragon Mustard on Naan

This is a very simple sandwich, which basically is a great piece of Naan bread from Trader Joe’s, a slice of salmon, and a touch of tarragon mustard. I’m sure any Indian would cringe his or her toes considering the bread to be actual Naan, but whatever it is we get it every few months. It is a very soft and thick bread that almost melts in your mouth.

Sandwich Recipe

  • 1 slice of “naan” bread from Trader Joe’s
  • 1 large slice of  grilled salmon (See below)
  • 1 tbs tarragon mustard

Heat up the salmon gently in the microwave, place on bread. Spread the mustard on top and enjoy.

Grilled Salmon Recipe

  • 1 fillet of fresh salmon without the skin
  • 1 large bundle of fresh dill
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 1/2 cup of mustard vinaigrette dressing

Cut the salmon in half, since we are going to layer it.  In a piece of metal foil (double layered) large enough to fold around the entire salmon, pour and spread 1/2 cup of mustard dressing and a few twigs of dill. Place one piece of salmon on top. On top of the salmon, spread another 1/2 cup of mustard dressing. Cut the lemon into thin slices, and layer half of it on top of the salmon with half of the remaining dill. Place the other slice of salmon on top, and cover with the remaining dressing, lemon slices and dill. Fold up the entire package to it’s closed, and place on a pre-heated BBQ on low heat for about 20 minutes. You need to open it up after that and cut through a piece of the salmon to check it’s cooked throughout. Be careful not to overcook. This, you would eat as dinner, saving a big enough slice that you can make the sandwich the following day.
