This is quite similar to a pepperoni pizza, the favorite pizza of the US. We changed it up a bit and used a local organic sausage from the local Poway farmer’s market. We also added blue cheese and onion to give the mouth a kick to the teeth. It works brilliantly, and is one of our favorite foods.
Pizza: Blue Cheese, Parmesan, Organic Sausage and Onion
Pizza Recipe
- Pizza dough
- 1 1/2 cup of pizza tomato sauce
- 10 slices of salami
- 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 onion
Slice the salami and onion and grate the Parmesan cheese. Cut the salami pieces in half.
Roll out the pizza dough, and spread the tomato sauce evenly. Place the sausage slices evenly around the pizza, then add the onion, blue cheese and finally the Parmesan. Bake for 10-12 minutes at 400 degrees until the pizza is golden on top and the cheese are melted (See photographs).
